Michael D. Nasatir is a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He practices both state and federal criminal defense.

Mr. Nasatir was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California.  He was also a Staff Attorney for the San Francisco Neighborhood Legal Assistance Foundation. Mr.Nasatir has been recognized for his work in criminal defense, receiving the "Best Lawyers in America" distinction for white collar and non-white collar criminal defense work. He has also been named a "Super Lawyers of Southern California" from 2004 to 2009. In addition, he has received the Mort Herbert Service Award from the Criminal Courts Bar Association.    

Additionally, Mr. Nasatir has lectured at legal seminars at various law schools, including University of Southern California School of Law, University of California Los Angeles School of Law, and Loyola School of Law. He has also acted as a Legal Commentator for several television and radio stations, such as CNBC, CNN, and KCAL News. 

He received his Juris Doctor degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to receiving his J.D. degree, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Mr. Nasatir is a member of the State Bar of California, The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association, and National College of Criminal Defense. He is also a member of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, American Board of Criminal Lawyers, and the Fulfillment Fund.

He is admitted to practice law in California; before the United States Supreme Court; certain United States District Courts; and Courts of Appeal for the First Circuit, Second Circuit, Third Circuit, Fifth Circuit, and Ninth Circuit.
